J.Crew has about 70% of its tall section on sale this week. The biggest group is a 30% off promotion on fall jeans, suiting pants and wool-blend dresses, most of which carry the complete tall size run. Summer dresses and skirts are still on clearance at 50% to 75% off.

The holiday pieces are full price
The velvet, satin and wool holiday delivery that arrived last week is full price, including the Tall Natalia pant in velvet at $178, the Tall column slip dress in double-faced satin at $188 and the Tall Valentina scarf coat in drapey wool blend at $398. Most of them still have the complete size run.
What to do about it
Buy the jeans, Kaya pant and houndstooth dresses during this 30% off promotion if they are on your list. J.Crew’s promotions this fall have run about a week, and the four-season stretch pants are already missing some middle sizes in tall.
The Stratus satin pant and the summer dresses are clearance, which lasts until sizes sell out.
