Banana Republic is the newest store we follow on Tall Report, and this is our first look at what is on sale in its tall section. About 10% of Banana Republic’s tall styles are marked down this week, at 20% to 30% off, and nearly all of them are pants. Banana Republic sizes its tall pants in letter sizes from S to XL, and every sale style below has all four sizes in stock unless noted.
Pants at 20% to 30% off
High-Rise Flare Italian Flannel Pant · $125 (was $180), 30% off, tall S to XL, Black
This is the deepest discount in Banana Republic’s tall section this week. A wool flannel flare works as a fall work pant and also dresses up for the holidays. The Olive Green Stripe and Radicchio Burgundy versions are also $125 with every size.
The Everyday Wide-Leg Pant in Tencel-Cotton · $100 (was $130), 25% off, tall S to XL, Navy Blue
Fresh Olive Green is also $100 with every size, and Mother of Pearl Beige is $95 (was $130), 25% off, in large and XL only.
High-Rise Straight Corduroy Pant · $110 (was $140), 20% off, tall S to XL, Espresso Brown
Radicchio Burgundy is also $110 with every size.
The Getaway Straight-Leg Pull-On Pant in Linen · $70 (was $100), 30% off, tall S to XL, White
This is the lowest price in Banana Republic’s tall section this week, and it is a good pant to keep for a winter vacation.
A chiffon mini dress at 20% off
Crinkle Chiffon Mini Dress · $155 (was $198), 20% off, tall S to XL, Burnt Sienna Orange
This is the only tall dress on sale at Banana Republic this week. A tall mini dress has a longer torso and hem, so it sits where a regular mini would on a shorter frame.
What to do about it
The Italian flannel flare is the best buy here, at 30% off in three colors with the full size run. The Getaway linen pant has a price ending in 99 cents, which at Gap Inc stores usually means clearance that stays until sizes sell out. This is our first week following Banana Republic, and we will report on how long its tall sale prices last in the weeks ahead.
