Twelve new tall styles turned up in Gap’s Tall Shop since last Monday.
Three of them are denim dresses, and a fourth is a denim top. That is not a coincidence, fall is on its way!

The denim dress thing
Denim is apparently in for this fall. Gap dropped three of them in one week to get in on the trend.
Denim V-Neck Maxi Dress · $99.95, tall S–XL, dark wash
This is the one I’d try first (I’m a big fan of dark wash). A denim maxi is the rare dress where the tall pattern really matters, because a regular-length maxi on a tall frame turns into an awkward midi. Only runs to XL though.
Seamed Denim Maxi Dress · $99.95, tall S–XXL, medium wash
Same idea but if you like the prairie look. Goes to XXL, so if the V-neck stops short of your size, this is the backup.
Denim V-Neck Shift Mini Dress · $89.95, tall S–XXL
A mini that might actually fit! Most “mini” dresses in regular sizing arrive on me as a tunic with ambitions. $90 for a denim shift is steep, and I’d wait for this one to move.
Denim Top
Denim Fitted Peplum Top · $55, down from $69.95, tall S–XXL, terra brown
Already marked down in its first week, which usually tells you something. Peplum is a strong opinion to have.
The pants
Low Rise UltraSoft Stride Wide-Leg Jeans · $89.95, tall waists 27–33, four washes
Full waist run from 27 to 33, all four washes in stock right now. The long size inseam is 35.5, which will just kiss the tops of my shoes.
Low Rise Twill Baggy Barrel Cargo Pants · $89.95, tall 2–20
Barrel leg, cargo pockets, three colors. Sizes 2 through 20 with the full run available, which is more size range than Gap usually gives tall on day one.
Poplin, quietly
Poplin Smocked-Waist Maxi Shirtdress · $99.95, tall S–XXL
The one on this list I keep going back to look at. Smocked waist does the work that a belt would, and the fresh white is going to be the first color gone.

Two new tees worth knowing about
CloseKnit Jersey Funnel-Neck Ruched T-Shirt · $31, down from $39.95, tall S–XXL
CloseKnit Jersey Scoop-Back T-Shirt · $35, down from $44.95, tall S–XXL
Both in fresh white only, both already discounted. CloseKnit is Gap’s thinner jersey, so plan on layering rather than wearing either one alone.
One more
Mockneck Maxi Dress · $89.95, tall S–XXL, terra brown and dark heather grey
A mockneck maxi is a fall-into-winter dress, and the terra brown is the better of the two colors.
